On a scorching Saturday, May 20th 2023, the annual Inter-Society Golf Tournament took place at the picturesque Tasik Puteri golf course, just outside Kuala Lumpur city. The event was organised by the Selangor St. Andrews Society and brought together golf enthusiasts from various societies, including the St. Patrick's Society of Selangor, the Royal St. George Society of Malaysia, the Canadian Association of Malaysia, and the St. David's Society of Malaysia.

The tournament was set to be a memorable day of friendly competition, networking, and unforgettable moments with Jake Mowson, Luke White and Melissa Lau from our team on the course.
Societies were split up into teams of 4 with a total of 80 golfers. Besides aiming to win first place, there were other various categories on the line including “The Longest Drive”, “Closest to the Line”, “Beat the Junior” and “Keeping the Yellow Ball”. Awards were sponsored by Melbourne Capital Group, The Asian Tigers Group, Sid's Pubs, Wedge Golf Lounge, and Tito's Vodka.The event would not have been possible without the support of the sponsors.
As the tournament progressed, the fairways buzzed with intense competition. Players displayed their skills and determination, each swing adding excitement to the battle for victory. Ultimately, it was the Selangor St. Andrew's Society that emerged as the champions, winning by a mere one-point margin. The Canadians showcased their exceptional golfing prowess, securing the second-place position, leaving everyone impressed with their talent and sportsmanship.
The tournament culminated in an exciting prize presentation hosted by David Barron of the Selangor St. Andrew’s Society. The winners celebrated their achievements, basking in the well-deserved recognition. Once again, we would like to congratulate the Selangor St. Andrew’s Society on their win and look forward to collaborating in future community events such as these.
