Hello, I'm Andrew, I’ll share little about my convoluted journey to Malaysia and a little bit about myself. In 1998 I made a decision to take a two-year working holiday away from the United Kingdom, I had no idea at that time how life changing that decision would be or that 16 years ago I would meet and marry someone who had made the same decision.
Having worked in Brazil, Japan and Australia en route to Malaysia, these cultural exposures helped me form what I like to call a nuanced cultural view of diverse attitudes toward investment management and financial planning. The goals for clients are often the same across cultures but the preferred and perceived optimal routes to the destination vary greatly.
Having lived and worked as a financial advisor in Malaysia now for 16 years, having met my wife here and been blessed with twins that were born here. Malaysia is home. I have met many expatriates since leaving the UK, over that time I have evolved into specialising in providing expert financial guidance to my fellow expatriates in both Malaysia and Internationally.
As a financial advisor I define the role as someone who meticulously maintains expertise in order to position his or herself in the best possible way, to help people make the most beneficial financial decisions. I am always grateful for the trust and confidence clients have placed in me over the years.
Outside of the office, I’m that guy who takes the aisle seat and not the window, or faced with the choice of travel by train or coach I’ll choose the train. Backpack or suitcase: suitcase. My favourite regional travel destination is Lombok. Tennis and go-karting have become a passion for me and the family and we dedicate a disproportionate amount of our time to participation and improving all of our skills. What time is left over is usually spent watching or preparing the children for competition.
