Melbourne Capital Group has become an Associate Member of the Federation of European Independent Financial Advisers (FEIFA), cementing the firm’s ongoing commitment to professional excellence.
FEIFA is a non-profit trade association focused on raising professional standards across the financial planning profession. To achieve membership, Melbourne Capital Group successfully underwent vetting and due diligence checks and agreed to FEIFA’s code of conduct that promotes best practice.
Membership will strengthen the firm’s access to information sharing and professional support networks. It will help Melbourne Capital Group remain up to date with regulatory changes and create further training and development opportunities for its Private Wealth Managers.
FEIFA membership also complements the firm’s existing relationships with other leading professional bodies including the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, the Walbrook Institute, the Malaysian Financial Planning Council and the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia.
Rob Atherton, Head of International Wealth at Melbourne Capital Group, commented:
“I’m delighted to announce we’ve been accepted as a member of FEIFA. This recognises, and reinforces, our ongoing commitment to professional best practice. We are now one of a few firms in South East Asia to be both a CII International Professional Partner Firm and a member of FEIFA.”
“As we specialise in international wealth management, a key benefit of FEIFA membership is access to its network of leading professional bodies that focus on raising standards across the profession.” These include the Consumer Duty Alliance and its working groups such as the Cross Border Alliance. These connections will help to shape and strengthen our own practices and processes as we strive to meet the very highest professional standards.
“Personally, as part of the New Talent Alliance steering group, I am passionate about mentoring the next generation of financial planners. An exciting benefit of FEIFA membership is the enhanced training and development opportunities it provides for our Private Wealth Managers.”
“Ultimately, FEIFA membership aligns perfectly with our central mission. We aim to provide a world-class client experience and deliver personalised wealth strategies that help our clients achieve their financial goals.”
Paul Stanfield, CEO of FEIFA, commented:
“We launched our IFA Associate Membership a couple of years ago, predominantly to find appropriate advisory forms outside of Europe that could work with our European-based member firms when they have clients that relocate outside of the region. We have found a handful of companies in various parts of the world that have successfully passed our vetting process and we are very pleased to welcome Melbourne Capital Group to FEIFA and applaud its commitment to best practice.”
