Melbourne Capital Group's 1,000 Hearts & 1 Cause campaign supports Yayasan Jantung Malaysia' work in heart health screening, education, and family support.

Melbourne Capital Group is dedicating our 2026 efforts to supporting Yayasan Jantung Malaysia (YJM) through a year-long campaign focused on one simple truth: financial wellbeing and heart health are inseparable.
Throughout life, we face different health and financial challenges, building careers in our 20s and 30s, managing family responsibilities in our 40s and 50s, planning for legacy and beyond.
At every stage, heart health matters. And at every stage, the stress of managing a health crisis affects not just medical outcomes, but financial stability, family dynamics, and quality of life.

Supporting rural screening programmes to catch conditions early.
Helping families know what support exists before they need it.
Expanding YJM's halfway house so more families have a safe place to stay during treatment.

Every ringgit donated goes directly toward YJM's programmes that save lives and support families.

Free and subsidised screening programmes across Malaysia check blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and body mass index. Catching risk factors early, especially for individuals who may not have regular access to preventive healthcare.

Nationwide campaigns including World Heart Day, Go Red for Women, school programmes, and workplace health initiatives that promote heart-healthy lifestyles and CPR awareness.

Temporary accommodation for heart patients and caregivers who need to stay near treatment centres, removing the burden of finding and affording accommodation during an already stressful time.
With sufficient funding, YJM can further subsidise or fully sponsor stays for families facing financial pressure.
Also known as Yayasan Jantung Malaysia (YJM), a non-governmental organisation dedicated to preventing heart and circulatory disease across Malaysia. Since 1984, YJM has worked to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease, Malaysia's leading cause of death, through education, early detection, and direct support to patients and families.
YJM conducts 25-35 community awareness programmes annually, reaching thousands across Malaysia, from urban centres to rural communities in Sabah and Sarawak.
These programmes provide free or subsidised health screenings, educational talks, CPR training, and resources for managing heart health.
YJM also operates a halfway house near Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) and Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) in Kuala Lumpur, providing low-cost accommodation for families travelling from across Malaysia for heart treatment.
Heart disease affect not only individuals but entire families. When someone faces a heart health crisis, the financial and emotional ripple effects touch everyone; partners, children, parents and sibling.
Melbourne Capital Group is an independent wealth management firm serving expatriate and international investors across Asia. Through this partnership with YJM, we're leveraging our platform and resources to raise funds and awareness for heart health, because we believe financial wellbeing and physical wellbeing are inseparable.
Throughout 2026, we're hosting workshops and events that explore the connection between health and financial preparedness, with all proceeds supporting YJM's work.
