Hello, I’m Ash. I’m an ambitious and driven person with a stoic mindset and a clear sense of purpose. Those who know me well describe me as caring, supportive and aspirational.

I was born and raised in India, where I completed my bachelor’s degree and spent the early part of my career working in corporate roles at Amazon and Byju’s.

Outside work, I have always been fascinated by mythology, especially the parallels between different cultures and how they connect with the geographical history of the world. Yes, I am that classic nerd. More recently, I have become absorbed in prompt engineering and all things AI in my spare time.

Growing up, I was a laid-back child with little confidence and no big dreams. Everything changed when I turned 24. A series of life events pushed me to rethink everything. I packed my bags, moved to the UK for my master’s degree and never looked back. During that time, I met two close friends, Varun and Soumik, who played a huge role in shaping the person I became. I completed my master’s with distinction and also achieved the CISI Investment Advice Diploma, where I was among the top performers in the country in the Financial Planning and Advice module.

I began my career in financial planning as an intern at GoddardFry Wealth Management in the UK and later progressed into a full-time junior paraplanner role. Under the guidance of my director, Alex Fry, I learnt an enormous amount and built the foundations for the professional journey I am now pursuing.

I had long wanted to work with an ambitious and respected organisation such as Melbourne Capital Group. One day, while networking on LinkedIn, I came across a profile, sent a connection request and, step by step, that moment led to an opportunity to join Melbourne Capital Group. It is a decision I am incredibly proud of.

Before relocating, I had a few months left in the UK, so I decided to take on the CISI Level 6 Diploma in Advanced Financial Planning. I passed in May 2025 and am now on track to achieve Chartered MCSI status in May 2026, once I complete the required CPD.

With the support of my partner Ankita, I then began my Level 7 studies and recently submitted my case study. Once this is approved, I will become a Certified Financial Planner. As you can see, my life revolves heavily around my career, and I truly love what I do.

I am currently working as a Business Manager at Melbourne Capital Group, focused on bringing value to our clients every day. My aspiration is to become a financial planner in the near future.
